This year, we will be using a curriculum from Scott Foresman and supplemental resources. The students will be studying about communities from the local level to the world.  There is also an emphasis on current events in our community and world.  The social studies curriculum involves student reading and writing.

THIS QUARTER

We have been learning about different celebrations in America and around the world.  As part of this unit, we will be completing a research project on a specific celebration. Each student will create a scrapbook page about his/her celebration and give a presentation.
